2018 ART: EDU: Immersive theater in OpenSim: Scenes from Antony and Cleopatra

Immersive theater in OpenSim:  Scenes from Antony and CleopatraOutworldz presents a beautifully choreographed scene from Shakespeare play, performed by bots (in OpenSim we call them Non-Player Characters–NPCs).  The lines are delivered in text.  A group studying the play could assign group members to deliver the lines aloud. Watch on YouTubeSparkNotes Antony and Cleopatra is a tragedy by William Shakespeare. The play was performed first circa 1607 at the Blackfriars Theatre or the Globe Theatre by the King’s Men. Its first appearance in print was in the Folio of 1623. — WikipediaGo there HG address:www.outworldz.com:9000 EgyptPut the HG address in the Find bar of the World Map; click Find, TPIf this does not work, go to:www.outworldz.com:9000 Then use the World Map to find Egypt.********************************************More after the break*************************************************Metaverse events, recent and upcomingEvents on the Hypergrid: HYPEventsHypergrid DestinationsIMA Social Web and Virtual World Events, Music, and Meeting CalendarHYPERGRID EVENTSOpenSimWorld EventsEntertainment on the HypergridOpensim AAM Virtual PerformersPromotion for virtual worlds and everything in ’emSelby’s daily events and news collection:  Virtual worlds are real Comedy Videos from the virtual worldsWeb-world videos-Search this blog with the search bar, upper left.OSCC 2017 PresentationsMal Burns: Inworld ReviewHypergrid Writer’s CommunityMetaverse Jobs; Job ListingsIMA projects3D web-worlds of the browser (G+ community) Virtual Outworlding news collection Destination guide: OpenSimWorldHyperica, Directory of Opensimulator hypergrid destinationsWELCOME TO SEANCHAI LIBRARIESHypergrid-related articles in this blog*********************************************************Arrival at the Dock–Theater entranceHG Safarians are arrivingHG Safari = Hypergrid SafariHG Safari (G+)Cleopatra speaks to her servantsI am a bystander in the background. The show should be running when you arrive. If you are planning to bring a class, better contact Fred Beckusen to be sure it is running at class timeBest enter flying.  There may be an asp on the floor. No worry.  Avatars are Toons.Octavius talks with CleopatraAct 5 Antony and Cleopatra–Cleopatra talks to Octavius–Immersive theaterThe HG Safarians are bystandersThe performers are animated robots (called NPCs in OpenSim). They do not speak their lines; the lines appear in text chat.In a group of students, a student could be assigned to each character. The student would speak the line aloud.  HG Safari Visits Egypt 30 BCHG Safarians watch the show–These soldiers march all the timeRobots are like that–Elegant throne roomOverview of the cityArticles about places in Outworldz and Lost WorldMetaverse Tours visited Egypt at Outworldz Wwanderer got a videoMetaverse Tour does the Rome of Ferd FredrixA visit to ancient RomeDragon’s Nest on Ferd Frederix’s Outworldz: Metaverse tourDianne Fosse and Virunga in Outworldz: Video from a metaverse tourHG Safari: A visit to Virunga National Park and the work of Dian FosseyUbODE in OpenSim may have solved lots of physics problemsJoe Builder’s Magical Kingdom.
